Kostas delivered one of the Plenary talks along with Prof. Sir Andre Geim, FRS and Prof. Mark Hersham at the opening scientific session of Graphene Week 2026, Europe’s leading conference on graphene and 2D materials, held in Porto (Portugal).

His talk was titled: “From Bench to Brain: Getting Graphene to Interface with the Human Brain”, where he discussed the recent progress in the clinical development of the types of graphene oxide-based technologies.
