Gloria at OMNIA project Kick-Off meeting

The OMNIA project officially launched last Friday with its Kick-Off meeting in Alghero (Italy), marking the beginning of this ambitious 4-year Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Staff Exchange initiative.

Hosted by the coordinating institution, Ankara University, the meeting brought together all project’s participants. The network includes academic institutions, SMEs, and industry stakeholders from both EU and non-EU countries, facilitating robust knowledge transfer, collaborative research, and translational development of tailored nanotherapeutics.

OMNIA stands for Orchestrating Multi-Omic Nanomedicine Insights with AI and Spatial Biology–Driven Innovation and Training for Hard-to-Treat Cancers and will aim to elucidate how clinically applicable and emerging nanoparticles interact with tumour and stromal compartments by integrating spatial multi-omics with data-driven analysis across advanced in vitro and in vivo models. In this way help establish mechanistic links between nanoparticle design, microenvironmental context and therapeutic safety–efficacy profiles.
