We are pleased to announce that Ms Cristina Pesola and Ms Magdalena Koprek have joined the Nanomedicine Lab.

Magdalena is currently pursuing her MSc in Physical and Inorganic Chemistry at the University of Zagreb, Croatia. Her research interests lie at the intersection of materials science and nanotechnology with a particular focus on 2D materials, from atomic-layer engineering to #device-level applications. She is funded by the Erasmus+ programme of the European Commission.

Cristina is joining us to pursue her PhD in the Nanomedicine Lab. Her research focuses on engineering the surface properties of graphene oxide-based nanomaterial complexes with therapeutic agents and their pharmaceutical suspensions to develop innovative platforms for brain cancer treatment. She is funded by the Proyectos de Generación de Conocimiento 2024 of the Spanish Ministry of Science and will be co-supervised by Dr Gloria Garcia and Kostas Kostarelos.
