Kostas opened the 2026 CNIO Distinguished Seminars at the Spanish National Cancer Research Center (CNIO). CNIO is Spain’s foremost cancer research institute and one of the most prestigious centres of its kind internationally.

Kostas was hosted by Prof Manuel Valiente leader of the Brain Metastasis Group at the CNIO where he leads a team of scientists whose goal is to discover critical aspects of the biology of brain metastasis that can be directed toward the development of new therapeutic opportunities. He also visited four other CNIO Groups spanning the range of cancer research.
