Lexi completed her undergraduate degree in Pharmacology (B.Sc (Hons)) at the University of Manchester in 2018. Following this, she completed her MRes degree in Neuroscience from the University of Central Lancashire and graduated with a distinction in August 2021. Her Masters thesis was a systematic review on aberrations of IL-17A in pre-clinical rodent models of autism spectrum disorder. She also gained a keen interest in the effects neuroimmune modulation. In particular, the way in which the immune system can be altered to induce treatments within an immune privileged environment such seen in glioblastoma. In December 2021, Lexi joined the Nanomedicine Lab at the University of Manchester working as a research assistant in the NanoTherapeutics Team investigating the application of nanomaterials for cancer immunotherapy.
