Dr. Clémentine Quintana

Preclinical Research Scientist

BIO

Clémentine obtained her BSc degree in Animal Physiology and Neurosciences at Montpellier 2 University, France, in 2012. After graduation, she completed her MSc in Neurobiology and Endocrinology at Montpellier 2 University in 2014. Her project and internship were conducted in the Institute of functional Genomics (IGF, CNRS), Montpellier where she characterized the functions of neurons expressing dopamine D1 receptors in the caudal region of the dorsal striatum. She pursued her PhD in neuroscience at the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology at the University of Toronto, Canada and graduated in 2024. Her research project focused on dissecting cortical dopamine D2 receptor circuitry and functions using advanced intersectional genetics and brain-wide mapping techniques. Clémentine is a neuroscientist with a passion for bridging fundamental research and preclinical innovation. She joined the nanomedicine Lab in July 2025 as a Preclinical Research Scientist funded by the ERC Synergy Grant to lead the development of the in vivo research platform within the Skin2DTronics project. She will also support studies within the Nanomedicine Lab team that involve preclinical disease models.
