Kostas was invited to deliver a Keynote Lecture during the Innovative & Industrial 2D/Advanced Materials Summit & Expo (I2DM2025) held at Khalifa University in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

His talk was titled: “Clinical Translation Pathway of Advanced Materials: The Graphene Paradigm”, where he discussed the recent progress in the clinical development of the types of graphene oxide-based technologies.

The emphasis was on the two very different First-in-Human clinical investigation studies that have been led by the Nanomedicine Lab recently, and how will such effort could possibly unlock clinical translation for a range of advanced materials.
