Dr. Adrian Esteban Arranz, Research Associate
Adrian obtained his Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering at the University of Castilla La-Mancha (UCLM), Spain in 2012. After graduation he started his PhD at UNED (Department of Inorganic and Technical Chemistry) and CSIC (Institute of Catalysis and Petroleochemistry) in Madrid. His PhD work focused on the synthesis, characterization and application of carbon nanomaterials for wastewater treatment by adsorption and catalysis processes. During his PhD he worked in collaboration with the Helmholtz Center for Environmental Research (UFZ) in Leipzig, Germany. Adrian has joined the Nanomedicine Lab since July 2017 as a research associate, working in the Graphene Flagship project to develop and characterize graphene oxide nanomaterials.
