Mr. Christopher Bullock, PhD Student

Christopher obtained his MEng in Medical Engineering at the University of Leeds in 2014. His experience to date has focused on biomaterials and medical device design. In 2013 he was awarded the IMechE prize for best project at the University of Leeds for the design and commission of a novel bioreactor system for the culture of live intervertebral discs under physiological loads. He joined the Nanomedicine Lab after being awarded a four-year studentship with the EPSRC-MRC Centre for Doctoral Training in Regenerative Medicine. His PhD research will focus on the interactions between stem cells and graphene-based materials. Christopher is an Associate Member of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers.
