Ms. Emmanouela Stamatidou, Visiting Researcher

Emma completed her BSc in Biology at the University of Nottingham, UK in 2015. Her dissertation focused on Chronological Ageing in Wild Yeast Strains.  After graduation she was accepted at the University of Glasgow, UK, to undertake her MSc on Cancer Sciences. Her research project focused on the fate and the possible functions of nuclear RNAs during mitosis using cancer cells. During that time she was involved in the In situ imaging of mitochondrial translation and her work was included in a paper which is published in Journal of Cell Science since 1st November, 2017. Emma joined Nanomedicine Lab in January 2018 to gain unique scientific skills and experience in laboratory techniques, such as enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay and histology (cryostat, staining) in rat brain tissues and participate in biocompatibility study.
