Dr. Arnab Halder, Research Associate

Arnab Halder was awarded B.Sc. (Hons.) (2008) and M.Sc. (2010) in Chemistry from Vidyasagar University, West Bengal, India. After working as a researcher for nearly 2.8 years at the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, India, he moved to Denmark to start his Ph.D. (November, 2013). He did his Ph.D. from the Nanochemistry Group, DTU Chemistry, Technical University of Denmark (DTU). The main focus of the PhD project was on the ‘Chemical synthesis and bio-functionalization of Graphene-based nanomaterials for the fabrication of screen-printable, flexible and low-cost electrochemical Chemo/Biosensors.’ After his PhD (May 2017), he moved to DTU Health Technology (previously DTU Nanotech) for his first postdoctoral position. This included synthesis of biocompatible 2D quantum dots, biomimetic polymer-based sensors, and biomedical micro/nano robotics. During his PhD and postdoctoral training, he attracted various research grants to establish new internal and international collaborations.

Arnab has been a member of the Nanomedicine Lab since January 2019 as a Postdoctoral Research Associate. He is currently working in the Graphene Flagship project (WP5) to design and synthesize graphene biopolymer hydrogel based neural implants.
