Penny obtained her 4-year Bachelor Degree in Chemistry at the University of Athen4s in 2015. She then completed a 2-year MSc degree in Clinical Biochemistry and Molecular Biology in the University of Athens. During that time she was involved in 1-year project in the Biomedical Research Foundation of the Academy of Athens. The aim of that project was the study of microglia morphology in animal models lacking genes associated with cholesterol metabolism. In the summer of 2018 she joined the Cellular Biology lab of the Biomedical Research Foundation of the Academy of Athens as a Research Assistant to study the effect of Galectin-3 in tissue repair and fibrosis on animal models. Penny joined the Nanomedicine lab in September 2019 as a Research Technician.
