Mr. Andrew Claxton, Academic Clinical Fellow
Andrew obtained his medical degree at the University of Manchester in 2010 before continuing his junior medical rotations within Manchester. In 2012 he moved to London to train as an anaesthetist where he developed his interest in intensive care medicine. In 2015 he completed an MSc in Trauma Science with distinction at the University of Birmingham. His research project focused on using peripheral near infrared spectroscopy probes to measure the effects on the microcirculation of haemorrhage in major trauma. He joined the North West’s integrated clinical academic training program for intensive care in 2016 and has an interest in novel diagnostics in sepsis.
